Nurses

Our team of Nurses include:

Nurse Manager Nicola Whitehead, Nurse Megan Dunlop, Nurse Nikki Batt and Nurse Sarah Robins

Our practice nursing team are available by appointment for advice about any health matters, immunisations, family planning, dressings and ear care. They carry out blood pressure checks, ECGs, cervical smears, and health checks for patients with medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes and high blood pressure.

We also have Judy McLaughlin, our Practice Care Co-ordinator who helps facilitate care in the community for those patients who are often unable to access the surgery. Working closely alongside Judy in this role is Megan Dunlop, a qualified nurse.

We are also very lucky to have Kyla Haythorn, our Practice Paramedic who assists with home visits as well as Minor Illness clinics.

Healthcare Assistants

Our team of Health Care Support Workers include:

Michele, Tracey and Emma

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Another key member of our team is Julie Howlett, our Medicines Reconciliation Technician. Julie deals with all prescription requests in the Surgery and medications upon hospital discharge.
