You may have noticed that there are now designated ‘Doctors’ parking spaces at the front of the Surgery. The council have implemented these as we will be losing access to our Car Park at the back of the Surgery for a prolonged period of time due to the ongoing cinema building work.
We must stress that these spaces are NOT for patient use and are for our Doctor’s and clinicians who require quick access in and out of the Surgery for home visits etc. In order for our staff to park in these spaces, we have to have a permit on show. Without a permit you will receive a parking ticket. Therefore we ask that our patient's do not park in these spaces as we don’t want you to incur any unexpected charges.
We ensure that clinical follow up is provided for patients with the following conditions. It is suggested that patients with any of the following conditions familiarise themselves with information from www.patient.co.uk/pils. It is encouraged that you gain as much information about your condition as possible so that your appointments with us are made more effective.
In the Well Woman clinic, our friendly nurses are here to answer any of your questions relating to any of the following topics:
They may also provide emergency contraception.
Cervical smears are carried out by our practice nurses by appointment.
These are held every Thursday 09:30 – 16:30 by the community midwives and are appointment only.
Well Baby Clinics are held at the Grantham Health Clinic (01476) 590805 on:
Monday 13:30 – 15:30
Thursday 09:30 – 11:30
No appointment is required. Please feel free to bring your baby for check-ups and general advice from our health visitors.
Please book an appointment with the practice nurse for child immunisations. Please do not bring children who are unwell as there are often young babies in the clinic who could be put at risk.

Are you going away soon and wondering whether you require a vaccination? Please contact the Surgery to arrange an appointment to discuss this with one of our nurses.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below.
It is important to call in to the Surgery early as possible (at least 6 weeks before you travel) as a second appointment will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. These vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.

Travelling in Europe
If you are travelling to Europe the EU has published useful information for travellers on the European website.
Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore hold charges. Examples include the following:
The fees charged are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them along with appointment availability if required.
