Noticeboard

IMPORTANT NOTICE

You may have noticed that there are now designated ‘Doctors’ parking spaces at the front of the Surgery. The council have implemented these as we will be losing access to our Car Park at the back of the Surgery for a prolonged period of time due to the ongoing cinema building work.

We must stress that these spaces are NOT for patient use and are for our Doctor’s and clinicians who require quick access in and out of the Surgery for home visits etc. In order for our staff to park in these spaces, we have to have a permit on show. Without a permit you will receive a parking ticket. Therefore we ask that our patient's do not park in these spaces as we don’t want you to incur any unexpected charges.

THANK YOU

Nurses

Our team of Nurses include:

Our practice nursing team are available by appointment for advice about any health matters, immunisations, family planning, dressings and ear care. They carry out blood pressure checks, ECGs, cervical smears, and health checks for patients with medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes and high blood pressure.

We also have Liz Reader, our Practice Care Co-ordinator who helps facilitate care in the community for those patients who are often unable to access the surgery.

We have also recently welcomed Kyla Haythorn, our Practice Paramedic to the Surgery who is assisting with home visits as well as Minor Illness clinics.

Healthcare Assistants

Our team of Health Care Support Workers include:

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

We have also recently welcomed Julie Howlett to our clinical team as our new Medicines Reconciliation Technician. Julie deals with all prescription requests in the Surgery and medications upon hospital discharge.
